People: and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
Leader: Let us receive again the promises of the gospel.
All: Let us see what the wise men saw in the beauty
of Jesus’ birth.
Invocation and Lord’s Prayer
Eternal God, we journey together as your people. Enrich our faith as we embrace this time of worship. May we be ready to give you thanks, may we be willing to open our minds to a greater understanding of the gospel. In humility we bow before you asking for your guidance. Let your Word be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Grant us the strength of your Spirit to conquer all our fears.
With Jesus we pray, “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.” Amen.
*Gloria Patri # 36

Prayer for the Bread & Cup Barry Vaughn
Words of Institution
Leader: On the night when Jesus was betrayed he took a loaf of bread
People: and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you.
Do this in remembrance of me."
Leader: In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood.
Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me."
All: For as often as we eat this bread and drink the cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until he returns. I Cor. 11:23-26
The Lord’s Supper “O Gentle Jesus Be Our Light”
