Invocation and Lord’s Prayer

Holy God, you are the eternal source of life.  In these sacred moments may we bring before you the worship you deserve.  We come eager to learn and seeking the courage to go deeper in our relationship with Christ.  Breathe your Spirit into us that we may give our heart and spirit in these acts of worship.  Transform us according to beauty and wisdom of your love for all humankind.

We humbly pray with the one who is the Resurrection and the Life, “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.”  Amen.

Words of Institution

Leader:  On the night when Jesus was betrayed he took a loaf of  bread

Peopleand when he had given thanks, he broke it and said,   “This is my body that is for you.
Do this in remembrance of me."

Leader:  In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my  blood.
Do this, as often as you drink it,
in remembrance of me."

All:  For as often as we eat this bread and drink the cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until he returns.                              I Cor. 11:23-26
