Invocation
Creator God, may we journey with Jesus through our own wilderness temptations. Through this time of worship may we lift our voices to speak your Word, a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We give you praise for the gift of spiritual and physical food. Give us understanding of your kingdom and our sacred opportunity to serve you. Bring us together in the bonds of Christian faith that we may be truly free. We praise your holy name in every act of worship. This we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer for Bread & Cup & Lord’s Prayer Margaret Brown
“Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.” Amen.
Words of Institution
Leader: On the night when Jesus was betrayed he took a loaf of bread
People: and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you.
Do this in remembrance of me."
Leader: In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood.
Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me."
All: For as often as we eat this bread and drink the cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until he returns. I Cor. 11:23-26
The Lord’s Supper (silent meditation)
