Hymn #90 “Come, Christians, Join to Sing”
Call To Worship Sharon Crafton
Leader: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
People: He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me
beside still waters;
Leader: he restores my soul. He leads me in the right paths for
his name’s sake.
People: Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear
no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff
they comfort me.
Leader: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my
enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
All: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long. Psalm 23
Invocation and Lord’s Prayer (unison)
God of green pastures and still waters, we gather to thank you for the renewal and transformation of resurrection. You are beyond our knowing, yet you have been revealed so personally in Jesus. We have known your mercy and goodness in so many times and places. We seek to proclaim and share those gifts in this time of worship. Let us hear your voice today, calling us by name and claiming us as your own. We praise you for this season of Easter and ask that our lives reflect the joyful transformation of Jesus’ resurrection.
We pray with our Risen Lord, “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.” Amen.

Leader: On the night when Jesus was betrayed
he took a loaf of bread
People: and when he had given thanks, he broke it
and said, “This is my body that is for you.
Do this in remembrance of me.
Leader: In the same way he took the cup also, after
supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant
in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it,
in remembrance of me.
All: For as often as we eat this bread and drink
the cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until
he returns. I Cor. 11:23-26
