People:  We gather in the name of Jesus Christ.

Leader: Let us open our hearts to God.

All:  We celebrate Jesus as the way, the truth and the life.

Invocation and Lord’s Prayer  (unison)

Loving God, the beauty of your mercy brings us to this sacred place.  Let the sounds of praising you fill this sanctuary.  We believe you are present with us even when we do not feel or see or hear you.  Warm our hearts with the truth of scripture, enliven our minds with a vision of peace and touch our spirits with a call to a servant lifestyle.  Lord, let us respond to your call with an eager desire to share the gospel.  In worship today we lean into your love and trust in your grace.

With the Risen Lord we pray, “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be
Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.”  Amen

Gloria Patri # 36

Leader:  On the night when Jesus was betrayed
he took a loaf of  bread

Peopleand when he had given thanks, he broke it
and said, “This is my body that is for you.
Do this in remembrance of me.

Leader:  In the same way he took the cup also, after
supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant
in my  blood. Do this, as often as you drink it,
                 in remembrance of me.

All:  For as often as we eat this bread and drink
the cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until
                 he returns.                              I Cor. 11:23-26

The Lord’s Supper           “Holy Spirit, Breathe On Me”

 in His name.
